Painting is a dynamic exploration of ideological currents within cultural, societal, and historical contexts and an escape into one’s self. At the core of my studio practice is the engagement with and creation of a visual experience, playing a pivotal role in shaping, processing, and reflecting on human experiences.
Paintings convey narratives, articulate emotions, and share ideas without relying on words. By sharing my paintings, I invite conversations with the viewer, leveraging art’s power to evoke emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Each interaction is informed by the viewer’s unique life experiences and all that they bring to the visual conversation.
The tactile experience of painting brings me joy—the brush on canvas, the interplay of colors and light, and the process from surface preparation to final touches. In uncertain times, painting becomes a meditative practice, contributing to my personal sense of peace and fulfillment. As a lifelong learner, painting is a constant source of challenge and growth. Encouraging me to observe more closely, consider different perspectives, solve problems, and develop new skills, this continuous learning enriches my experience as both a human and an artist in the contemporary world.
